iSBEM/Commercial

SBEM (Standard Energy Building Model) is a computer software package that is used to provide a form of analysis on a buildings energy consumption. SBEM is accompanied by an interface that is referred to as iSBEM. iSBEM is designed for indicating compliance with UK building regulations part L2a and L2b in England, and section 6 in Scotland as regards carbon emissions from non-domestic buildings. The procedure of demonstrating compliance with Building Regulations is by calculating the annual energy use for a proposed non-domestic building and comparing it with the energy use of a comparable ‘notional’ building.

iSBEM ensures consistent and reliable evaluations of energy use in non-domestics buildings and can be used to assist the design process.
