The term PassivHaus refers to a precise and innovative standard for energy efficiency in new and refurbished buildings. It results in Ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling. The standard applies to several building types, as does BREEAM, including most commonly residential, then schools, offices, retail etc. PassivHaus is recommended to be implemented at the primary stages of architectural design.
